April 4, 2018 – Dillon, Colorado – On April 3, 2018, Kathy Parker, Principal at Studio PBA, met with and presented to the Dillon Town Council to solidify the PUD Development plan for Uptown240, a proposed mixed-use development consisting of 80 residential units, 9 workforce housing condominiums, parking garage, amenities, and two retail spaces along Lake Dillon Drive.
The proposed development is aimed at rejuvenating downtown Dillon by providing new luxury condominiums, workforce rentals along with restaurant and retail spaces. This project is in the heart of Dillon and visible from I-70 and Highway 6. The complex will offer mountain lake style living and sweeping views of Dillon Lake. Developer Ivano Ottoborgo has operated Adriano’s Bistro, his family-owned Italian restaurant, on this site since 1987. An updated version of Adriano’s will anchor the prominent corner of the new building.
As of the Town Council meeting held on April 3, Uptown 240 received the necessary four affirmative votes necessary to approve the permit application for the project. Construction is slated to begin Fall of 2018.
The Town of Dillon's Planning & Zoning Commission will meet this evening at 5:30 pm at Town Hall to discuss Uptown 240. Studio PBA's Kathy Parker will be there to discuss the design and answer questions. The members of the public are invited to this meeting to comment and ask questions. Denver, CO January 24, 2018 – On January 24, 2018, architect Studio PBA, the Morrison Group, Alliance Construction and residents of the newly completed Stout24 Townhomes celebrated the Grand Opening with an open house event. The project consists of 13 units; Seven of the units were listed at 80% AMI, while the remaining six were listed at 120% AMI. Creating an affordable townhome option was important to developer Lynn Crist of the Morrison Group, who spent much time working with the City to select the perfect site for this infill project.
The site, located in the Curtis Park Landmark District, knits northeast downtown into a cohesive urban area. It is intended to support a mix of uses that provide a pedestrian friendly transition from the surrounding lower scale neighborhoods to the high-rise scale of downtown. In this transition is Stout24 Townhomes spread across two buildings, each 3 stories tall. Private drive aisle to access private tuck under garages in the rear of 11 of the 13 units. The homes feature tall narrow windows, offset front entries, raised porches that step down to sidewalk, and flat roofs with historic decorative parapets. The design of three-sided projecting bays breaks up the building massing along the entire Stout Street elevation. The exterior material is predominately unpainted brick construction in grey and dark brown to coordinate with surrounding buildings. It is offset with a historic blue in cementitious lap siding.
As of January 2018, all 13 units have sold.

Denver, CO – This past weekend in the Chaffee Park neighborhood of Denver, the Aria Cohousing community celebrated its Rededication of the motherhouse, an event marking the transformation from former convent to a recently renovated 28-unit cohousing development. City officials, members of the Urban Ventures development team, Marycrest Convent Sisters of St. Francis, and residents of the cohousing community gathered to officially transition the building from a former convent belonging to the Sisters to the current-day residents. The ceremony included several speakers and a ribbon joining ceremony in which residents and Sisters joined together to rededicate the home.
Aria Cohousing is a multifamily concept which actively engages homeowners in a more communal lifestyle. This 28-unit project is a renovation of the former Marycrest Convent, and forms the heart of a 17.5-acre redevelopment on the former convent site in the Chaffee Park neighborhood of northwest Denver. The new Aria neighborhood, when fully completed, will be a mixed-income, mixed use community with an emphasis on sustainability, urban agriculture and cultivating a collaborative neighborhood spirit. Studio PBA was responsible for the renovation of the convent units.

Camron Bridgford, one of Denver Infill's bloggers begins. He starts by explaining how the benefits and attributes that make the cohousing community style more and more popular. Members of Mill Creek and Studio PBA were invited for the ‘Modera Topping Out BBQ’ put together by Tamra Holton, Project Coordinator, from Shaw Construction to celebrate the final structural support frame/wall on the 4 story buildings. What a milestone! Two structures now occupy the site where last year they were just empty plots. Here are some photos from the event & project progress.
Modera Observatory Park on Josephine has framed out Building 1 (closest to the camera) all the way to the roof deck. Both buildings are now completely vertical. Building 2, across the street is nearly 20% ahead of Building 1. The leasing center is scheduled to be open as early as February 2017.
Last night Wood Partners and the management team at Alta Cherry Hills hosted the Grand Opening of the Alta Cherry Hills Apartments! In attendance were members of the Studio PBA team, along with Norris Design, HKS Architects and many other contributors and investors for this project. This project is located on South Broadway and Hampden which provided a great view of downtown from its roof top patio. The tour showcased the two-story gym facilities, residential units, resort-style pool and community rooms. The project turned out wonderfully and PBA was glad to be a part of its development and celebration.
